The African Foundation for Climate Change and Sustainable Development (AFCCSD), in partnership with the T-Del Foundation and the Eco-Innova Foundation, have donated waste bins to Sowa Din Memorial Two Junior High School, in Takoradi.
The initiative is part of a commitment to promote environmental sustainability, proper sanitation, and climate responsibility among young learners.

Mrs. Mercy Appiah Kubi, the Headmistress, described the donation as “not just a gift of bins, but an investment in the health, discipline, and environmental consciousness of our children.”
She reaffirmed the school’s commitment to ensuring the bins were properly used and maintained.
Mr. Francis Aforve, the AFCCSD’s Executive Director, emphasised that environmental responsibility must begin at the grassroots level.
He noted that teaching children proper waste management today would help shape their future and in turn champion climate action and sustainable communities.
“Together, through partnership and action, we are nurturing a cleaner, greener generation, he added.
