Bosuso Youth appeal for support to fix health facility

The Bosuso Youth Association (BYA) has appealed for urgent support to renovate and equip the Bosuso Health Centre, describing the facility as deplorable, needing immediate intervention.

The call was made during the maiden Bosuso Youth Connect Programme, held under the theme: “Connect for Development.”

The event brought together youth, traditional leaders, professionals, businesspeople, traders, farmers, artisans and residents to discuss community needs and identify practical solutions.

Mr Samuel Mante, Chairman of BYA, told the Ghana News Agency that the health centre remained a critical facility requiring urgent rehabilitation to improve healthcare delivery.

He urged the government, stakeholders, and development partners to provide resources and equipment to restore the centre’s efficiency.

He explained that access to quality healthcare was fundamental to community development and must not be overlooked.

The Youth Connect Programme, he added, was introduced to foster unity and collective action toward solving local challenges.

Beyond health, the association highlighted the need for an ICT Centre to train young people in digital skills, also describing it as a strategic investment for future opportunities.

BYA donated 100 cutlasses to local farmers to aid land preparation for the farming season, a gesture warmly welcomed by beneficiaries.

Nana Atta Krofah, Chief of Bosuso, commended the initiative and urged residents to support the association’s efforts.

Organisers said the Youth Connect Programme would become an annual event to mobilise ideas, partnerships, and support for Bosuso’s advancement.
