KEEA MP supports tertiary students in constituency

Mr Samuel Atta-Mills, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA), has supported fifty tertiary students in the constituency with financial assistance.

The beneficiaries received the support as part of the MP’s resolve to promote education and ease the financial burden on students.

The students were drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country, including universities, technical universities, agricultural colleges, and teacher and nursing training colleges.

The financial support, which ranged from GH¢2,000 to GH¢5,000 depending on the needs and level of the students, was presented by Mr Francis Obeng, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Treasurer, on behalf of the MP, at a brief ceremony.

Mr Obeng said the initiative formed part of the MP’s commitment to promoting education and improving academic outcomes in the constituency.

He encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies to justify the support, stressing the MP’s belief that education was a vital tool for community development and a key investment in the future of the youth in KEEA.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr James Afful, a medical student at the University of Cape Coast, expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely assistance.

He said the support would go a long way in helping them meet their educational expenses, adding that the gesture demonstrated the MP’s dedication to supporting tertiary education and empowering young people in the KEEA Constituency.
