Krachi West MP delivers new CHPS compound for Kadentwe

Madam Helen Adwoa Ntoso, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Krachi West Constituency, has commissioned a new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound for the people of Kadentwe and surrounding communities.

The newly constructed facility is expected to improve access to primary healthcare services in the area, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances to access medical care at larger hospitals.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Ms Ntoso emphasized the importance of the facility in strengthening primary healthcare delivery within the municipality.

She noted that the project forms part of her commitment to improving the living conditions of her constituents.

“This CHPS compound is for the people of Kadentwe. I urge the community to take ownership of the facility and ensure it is properly maintained to serve its intended purpose for many years,” she stated.

The MP added that the facility would help ease pressure on the Krachi West Municipal Government Hospital while enhancing the delivery of essential health services at the community level.

Traditional authorities and residents welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. They expressed optimism that the CHPS compound would improve maternal healthcare services and support the prevention and management of common diseases.

Nana Bagyilenteki Akenten II, Queen Mother of Kadentwe, and Nana Kwame Afatwuor II, commended the MP for the intervention, noting that the facility represented a major step towards improving healthcare delivery in the area.

The commissioning of the CHPS compound underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen local healthcare systems in Krachi West and ensure that quality medical services are accessible to all, particularly those in rural communities.
