NDC government commits to universal access to education for all children

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration has pledged its commitment to ensuring that all children have access to education.

It is in that direction that kindergarten blocks are being built to enable children wherever they find themselves to access pre-school education.

Mr Patrick Fiable, District Chief Executive for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira made the pledge at the inauguration of a new six-classroom block with KG attached in two communities at Twifo Pepekurom and Twifo Wawase Camp.

He called on community leaders to take responsibility to maintain school property to prevent deterioration.

Mrs Jusinta Nkansah, District Education Director, also urged traditional leaders to support teachers assigned to their communities to help retain them.

The headteacher of Wawase Camp D/A basic school, Mr Ebenezer Baidoo for his part, highlighted the struggles the school was facing due to inadequate classrooms.

He expressed gratitude for the new facility but stressed the need for more furniture and additional teachers to enhance educational outcomes for students in Wawase Camp and surrounding areas.
