Mr Vincent Oppong Asamoah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dormaa West constituency, has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) might enjoy smooth campaign and secure victory in the 2028 general election due to its performance.
He said if the party continued its developmental agenda and policies along the current trajectory, Ghanaians would hand over power to the NDC without difficulty.
Mr. Asamoah made the remarks when addressing community leaders and party faithfuls during the two-day “Thank You” tour of Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the NDC at Nkrankwanta in the Bono Region.
The tour was to provide the National Chairman an opportunity to engage community stakeholders and party supporters.
Mr Asamoah noted that the government’s current performance was commendable but emphasised that more must be done to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians.
He highlighted several ongoing developmental projects in the constituency, nearing completion, and others yet to commence, including a planned 40-unit, two-bedroom affordable housing project aimed at addressing the housing deficit in the area.
Mr. Nketiah expressed gratitude to the people for the massive victory handed to the NDC in the 2024 general election.
He expressed optimism that in the next election, Ghanaians would again give the NDC an emphatic victory to enable the party to continue the good work started.
Mr. Nketiah indicated that the government is undertaking various development projects across the country in phases and appealed for the support of all citizens for effective delivery.
