27th TGMA nominations ends, Xperience concert set for Koforidua

The Board of the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has officially concluded the nominations process following the successful closure of the errors and omissions review window.

The final set of nominees has been released, covering categories including Unsung Artiste of the Year, Best African Song, Music for Good, and Group of the Year.

According to a statement from the Board, all petitions and appeals submitted after the initial nominee’s announcement were carefully reviewed in line with the scheme’s guidelines.

“The Board confirms that all submissions received within the review period were duly examined with the utmost due diligence and fairness, in strict adherence to the scheme’s

established guidelines and evaluation criteria.

“Following the process, the Board further confirms that the published nominees list remains unaffected,” the statement said.

The Board expressed appreciation to artistes, industry stakeholders, and fans for their engagement, while reaffirming its commitment to fairness, integrity, and the promotion of Ghanaian music on the global stage.

In a related development, Koforidua has been named the host city for this year’s TGMA Xperience Concert ahead of the main awards ceremony.

Headlining artistes include Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Piesie Esther, Lasmid, Medikal, and others.

The concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026.
