Nkwanta MCE signs 2026 performance contract

Mr Joseph Kwame Antwi Awal, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, has signed the Assembly’s 2026 Performance Contract in line with government‑approved key focus areas and performance indicators.

The signing reaffirms the Assembly’s commitment to operating with clearly defined targets, measurable outcomes and enhanced service delivery standards aimed at strengthening governance and accountability.

Mr Antwi Awal said the initiative aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s governance reforms and reset agenda, which emphasise discipline in public administration, prudent use of public resources and improved public service delivery.

He noted that the performance contract would serve as a strategic mechanism for tracking progress, enhancing institutional efficiency and ensuring that development interventions translate into improved living conditions for residents of the municipality.

The MCE reiterated his resolve to provide strong leadership that drives measurable progress and tangible development outcomes for the people.

“We are poised to make our generation proud,” he assured.
