Christians Urged to Lead Exemplary Lives

Mr. Ebenezer Osei-Bonsu, a local preacher at the Wesley Methodist Church in Abura Dunkwa, Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, has urged Christians to lead exemplary lives that reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Preaching at a Resurrection Sunday service under the theme “The Word Teaches New Life in Christ,” he supported his message with scriptures from Isaiah 25:6-9, Colossians 3:1-4, and John 20:1-18.

Addressing congregants, many dressed in white to signify Christ’s victory over death, Mr. Osei-Bonsu said Christians are the light of the world and must shine amid darkness to spiritually edify the church and morally uplift society.

He noted that through good behaviour—manifested in speech, actions, humility, respect, and love for all—unbelievers would be inspired to follow.

He further advised congregants to reject ungodly acts in marriages, workplaces, churches, and society at large, emphasizing that corruption, theft, lies, fornication, and other sins must be avoided to foster a better society.
