Dzindziso D/A Junior High School (JHS) and Dzindziso E.P JHS, which were temporarily closed following the besmearing of faeces and cola nuts at the entrances and inside classrooms of both schools, believed to have spiritual connotations, have resumed academic activities.
Mr Killian Ahiadorme, Headmaster of Dzindziso D/A JHS, and Mr Cephas Agbomson, Headmaster of Dzindziso E.P JHS, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kadjebi in the Oti Region on Thursday when schools reopened for the second term.
Mr Ahiadorme said although teaching and learning had officially resumed, both teachers and learners remained apprehensive about using the classrooms, citing fears of possible spiritual attacks.
He said Dzindziso D/A JHS has a population of 87 learners with six teachers.
The Headmaster appealed to the elders of the village, school authorities, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) executives and the School Management Committee (SMC) to take urgent steps to perform the necessary rites to create a safe and conducive environment for effective academic work.
Mr Agbomson, on his part, said Dzindziso E.P JHS had complied with directives from the Ghana Education Service (GES) to reopen, but noted that meaningful academic activities were yet to commence.

He said the school, which serves about 400 learners from Kindergarten to JHS Three with 15 teaching staff, including one community volunteer, would likely conduct the first-term examination in the third week of the term, as the earlier closure prevented the examination from being held as scheduled.
Mr Agbomson also appealed to key stakeholders, including community leaders and school authorities, to ensure that the appropriate rites were performed to restore confidence and enable teaching and learning to proceed without fear.
GNA publications dated December 02 and December 10, 2025, earlier reported the closure of Dzindziso D/A JHS and Dzindziso E.P JHS following the smearing of faeces and cola nuts at the entrances and inside classrooms.
