Evangelical Church of Ghana constructs modern hospital in Dambai

The Evangelical Church of Ghana has responded to the healthcare needs of the Krachi East Municipality with the construction of a modern hospital at Israel community in Dambai.

The hospital, nearing completion, is a testament to the Church’s commitment to promoting education, health and Christianity across the country and beyond.

A visit by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to the site shows hospital beds and mattresses already delivered, with various departments taking shape, including a theatre, female ward, children ward, male ward, emergency ward, dispensary, OPD and nurse’s offices.

Bishop John Pang-Moot, District Pastor of the Church in Krachi East explained that the facility is a response to the Municipality’s healthcare challenges, including increases in typhoid cases and limited access to medical services.

He said the hospital is now one step closer to becoming operational, with medical staff lined up to join the facility.

He stated that the medical superintendent of the Church’s Kpandai Hospital, Dr Sonlaar Joseph, has secured two medical doctors and several nurses to work at the hospital.

According to him, residents currently trek long-distances to Worawora, Nkwanta South, Papase, Kete-Krachi and sometimes beyond the region for healthcare, often leading to complications.

“The facility will be a gamechanger for our community, we are committed to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Dambai and beyond,” Bishop Pang-Moot added.
