Ghanaian High-life and Afrobeat singer-songwriter and record producer Eugene Kwame Marfo, who goes by the stage name Kuami Eugene has revealed the stories behind the female names in his song.

“The life I’m living—past, present, and future—all shapes the kind of songs I create. The people I come into contact with influence my music,” Kuami Eugene shared.
Elaborating further, the ‘Rockstar’ explained, “Often, I’m telling the story of a female I’ve crossed paths with, whether as a friend or in a relationship. Some of the names you hear in my songs, like Abena, are based on real people I’ve met.”
He added, “I’ve had a few experiences with a lady named Abena, so when you hear that name in my songs, it’s a reflection of those encounters.”
