A total of 645 delegates are expected to vote in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential primaries in the Akan Constituency of the Oti Region on Saturday, January 31.
The delegates comprise two former parliamentary candidates, two former District Chief Executives, 18 former constituency executives, and 10 members of the Council of Elders and patrons.
The rest include 561 polling station executives, 36 electoral area coordinators, and 16 constituency executives.
Mr Abdul Merigah Sataru, Akan Constituency Secretary of the NPP, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in a telephone interview.
He said the voting would take place at the Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC) Rashid Bawa Assembly Hall.
Mr Sataru urged delegates to comfort themselves before, during and after the polls, stressing that the primaries were a family contest and should be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
