Ablakwa rewards top six WASSCE performers in North Tongu

Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, has rewarded the six best-performing candidates in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the constituency with MacBook computers and full scholarships.

The initiative, aimed at celebrating academic excellence and motivating young people to pursue higher educational and professional goals, saw the six outstanding candidates hosted by the MP.

The beneficiaries are Freda Esenam Glah, Yvonne Kekeli Doe and Japhet Akpaglo, who each obtained seven A’s; Joseph Sokpo, six A’s; and Omoro Sulley and Ewoenam Afua Eleblu, who each obtained five A’s.

Mr Ablakwa congratulated the students and urged them to maintain their commitment to academic excellence as they progressed to the next stage of their education.

He said society had a responsibility to celebrate young achievers and provide them with the necessary support and motivation to attain greater heights.

“Togbe Worgbedzi is enormously proud of you,” Mr Ablakwa said.

He expressed appreciation to Mrs Victoria Yawa Doe, District Chief Executive for North Tongu, for her effective coordination of the initiative.

The MP said the support formed part of efforts to recognise and encourage outstanding young people in the constituency and inspire other students to strive for excellence.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, saying the scholarships and computers would assist them as they pursued further education.
