The grand launch of the 2026 Avenor Tutudoza Festival has been rescheduled to Friday, September 4, at Avega-Agornu, under the Avenor Traditional Area
The latest change in date is expected to give the Central Planning Committee (CPC), Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other stakeholders additional time to complete preparations for the grand launch and subsequent activities of the festival.
The 2026 Avenor Tutudoza Festival is being celebrated on the theme: “Peace, Unity, and Security: Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Avenor.”
The theme places emphasis on peace, unity and security as essential conditions for sustainable development and the collective progress of the Avenor Traditional Area.
The festival, celebrated under the auspices of the Avenor Traditional Council, seeks to bring together sons and daughters of Avenor, non-indigenes, traditional authorities, development partners and other stakeholders to celebrate the area’s rich cultural heritage while contributing to its development.
Preparations for the festival have been intensified, with the various planning committees working to ensure that the rescheduled launch at Avega-Agornu is successfully organised.
The festival also provides an avenue for mobilising support and resources for developmental initiatives, while promoting the cultural identity, unity and social cohesion of the people of Avenor.
The celebration is under the royal patronage of Torgbuiga Dorglo Anumah VI, the Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area and President of the Avenor Traditional Council.
The rescheduling of the grand launch to September 4 is therefore expected to pave the way for a well-coordinated celebration that combines cultural expression with the broader development aspirations of the Avenor Traditional Area.
The organisers have urged stakeholders, individuals, corporate bodies and development partners to continue supporting the festival as preparations gather momentum towards the new launch date.
