GNA’s Joyce Danso adjudged best court correspondent of the year

Ms. Joyce Danso, Senior Editor and Court Correspondent of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) has been adjudged the Best Court Correspondent of the Year (Online/News Agency) by the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG).

The award, presented at the JUSAG’s Dinner and Awards night in Tamale on Friday, was in recognition of Ms. Danso’s prompt, factual and far-reaching coverage of judicial proceedings, helping to ensure citizens’ timely access to justice-related information.

The certificate accompanying the award commended Madam Danso for her commitment to providing timely and factual reports on judicial proceedings.

It read: “This Certificate is presented to Joyce Danso of Ghana News Agency (GNA) as the Best Court Correspondent of the Year (Online / News Agency) in recognition of your prompt, factual and far-reaching online coverage of judicial proceedings ensuring timely access to justice information nationwide.”

Ms. Danso has served as the GNA’s Court Correspondent for more than two decades reporting on major court proceedings and developments, helping to keep the public informed about cases before the courts.

The court correspondents of the Daily Graphic, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and Asaase Radio also received honours during the event.

The Dinner and Awards Night climaxed the JUSAG’s second Quadrennial Delegates’ Conference, held in Tamale.

The week-long conference brought together members of the JUSAG from across the country to deliberate on matters concerning the Association and the Judicial Service as well as review its activities and elect new national executive officers.
