Mr Edward Mintah, a 51-year-old Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party has been elected as the Constituency Chairman together with 10 other executives at the delegates congress held at Gomoa Afransi in the Gomoa Central Constituency.
Mr Mintah polled 464 votes to beat Mrs Diana Aubyn who obtained 311 votes, with Mr Joseph Kofi Mensah securing 138 votes of the 919 valid votes cast, while six ballots were rejected.
The 1st Vice Chairman position was won by Mr Nicholas Odeneho Asamoah who polled 522 votes to defeat Mr John Kweku Donkoh who obtained 393 votes with two ballots rejected.
Mr Isaac Gyesi Korsah polled 475 votes to win second Vice Chairman of the Constituency as he beat Mr Ransford Mensah who had 431 votes and Mr Guilam Ahmed Adams had 238 votes with a total of 908 valid votes cast, and two ballots were rejected.
Mrs Adelaide Entsie garnered 513 votes to become the Secretary, beating her only contender, Mr Isaac Duku who had153 votes with three ballots rejected.
The position of Assistant Secretary went to Mr Ebenezer Acquah with 763 votes, while Mr Bernard Tweneboa Kodua followed with 153 votes of the 918 valid votes cast and two ballots were rejected.
Mr Osbert Sam got the Treasurer position with 501 votes with his contestant, Mr Prince Kojo Afful who had 412 votes of the total valid votes of 919 and six votes were rejected.
Mr Martin Nkum polled 400 votes to win the Constituency Organiser, against Mr Samuel Adams who had 339 votes of the total of 911 valid votes cast and two ballots were rejected.
The position of Youth Organiser was won by Mr Bernard Otoo who obtained 470 votes to defeat two other candidates namely, Mr Isaac Inkoom with 170 votes and Enoch Brown with 447 votes with a total 918 valid votes cast and one ballot.
Hannah Tetteh and Ms Mercy Ohemeng Boadi respectively polled 292 and 275 votes with a total of 921 valid votes cast and two ballots were ejected.
Alhaji Baba Adam Musah polled 625 votes to win Nasara Coordinator, flooring Alhaji Kasim Abubakar who had 282 votes of the total of 911 valid votes cast and four votes were rejected.
Mr Peter Mensah garnered 506 votes and won the position of Constituency Communication Officer against Mr Kennedy Martey who polled 402 votes with a total of 911 votes valid votes cast with three spoilt ballots.
The elections were supervised by Ms Ama Quansah, Director of Gomoa Central Electoral Commission (EC).
Ms Ophelia Hayford Mensah and Mrs Sarah Afful conducted the elections which was peaceful, free and fair attested and accepted by both candidates who won and those lost the election.
Speaking to the media after declaration of the results, Ms Mensah commended the candidates and the delegates for the peaceful manner they comported themselves and urged them to unite to fight a common goal to help the party to recapture power in 2028.
Ms Mensah also praised the Electoral Commission and the police officers who spent time to ensure that the elections were conducted in a peaceful manner devoid of chaos.
Mr Mintah, the Constituency Chairman-elect said a united front was the strongest weapon for the party to recapture the Parliamentary seat for Gomoa Central and go ahead to win the Presidential elections in 2028.
He said the newly elected executives would soon embark on a unity tour throughout the constituency to heal wounds, particularly those who lost the elections to bring them on board to work extra hard to ensure victory.
