Voting has begun at Saturday’s Northern Regional Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect the party’s Regional Executives to steer its affairs for the next four years.
A total of 410 delegates is expected to cast their votes with 33 candidates contesting for the various positions.
Mr Mohammed Bantima Samba, the incumbent Regional Chairman, is seeking reelection while Professor Hudu Zakaria, the incumbent Regional Secretary, is not seeking reelection.
A large number of Police personnel has been deployed to the voting grounds to ensure law and order.
