Mr Kwasi Boakye, the newly elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Techiman South Constituency, has pledged to lead efforts to secure the parliamentary seat for the party in the 2028 General Election.
He said winning the constituency’s parliamentary seat remained a key priority for the newly elected executives and stressed the need for the party to remain united and formidable to wrest the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman in the Bono East Region, Mr Boakye commended delegates for the successful and peaceful conduct of the constituency elections.
He said the new executives would, however, require the support and cooperation of party members and supporters to achieve their objectives.
Mr Boakye expressed confidence that with strengthened unity, commitment and cohesion among members, the NDC could win both the parliamentary and presidential elections in the constituency in 2028.
“We need everyone on board in our political campaign activities so that we can retain political power and win the parliamentary seat as well,” he said.
Mr Boakye urged party members to remain focused and work collectively towards building a stronger constituency organisation capable of achieving victory in future elections.
