The KAAF University has matriculated 1,750 fresh students, including 745 males, to pursue various programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The matriculants were selected from about 2,500 applicants who sought admission into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university.

Dr Francis Acheampong, Vice-Chancellor of the University, who performed the ceremony at the University’s premises at Fetteh Kakraba in the Central Region, said matriculation was a statutory process that conferred membership on fresh students after they had satisfied the academic requirements and taken the matriculation oath.

He explained that the oath enjoined the students to obey all rules and regulations of the institution as contained in the students’ handbook and other authorised documents, and to conduct themselves appropriately throughout their studies.

Dr Acheampong said the University was continually upgrading its facilities, support systems and services, while providing top-quality human resources to promote excellent teaching and learning towards rapid economic and social development.

He said the university’s carefully structured and industry-driven programmes positioned it as an ideal institution for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in engineering, health sciences, business and law, with a strong emphasis on technical and vocational training.

Key programmes being offered include BSc Nursing, BSc Midwifery, BSc Public Health Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, BSc Accounting, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Others are Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BSc Computer Science, as well as graduate and professional programmes, including MBA specialisations, MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery, MSc in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Computer Science, and LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law.

Dr Acheampong underscored the University’s commitment to providing world-class education to prepare students for both local and global job markets.

He encouraged the new students to take their studies seriously, be ethical, cultivate integrity and sincerity, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to excel in their various programmes.

“KAAF gives practical training with programmes that meet what industries need and not just the theory,” he added.

In an interview, Dr Linda Anane Donkor, Registrar of the University, said KAAF would soon introduce PhD programmes in Nursing and Midwifery.

She advised the students to remain focused, avoid distractions, and drop habits that could derail their academic progress.
