Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Anloga District in the Volta Region, has marked her first anniversary in office, reflecting a year of developmental interventions across many fields.
It includes infrastructure, education, health, sanitation, and economic empowerment within the enclave.
Speaking on the occasion, Madam Sandra expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, noting that her tenure was guided by commitment, accountability, and a determination to advance the district’s development agenda. 
“This moment marks exactly one year since I was endorsed by the hardworking Assembly Members and subsequently sworn in as the District Chief Executive for the Anloga District Assembly. I am deeply grateful to the Highest for the fortitude, strength, and wisdom granted to me for the work done so far, and for the many tasks that lie ahead,” she stated.
She further pledged her “unalloyed commitment and dedication to the growth and development of the Anloga District,” assuring residents of responsible and accountable leadership.
During an exclusive engagement with the Ghana News Agency in her office on Monday, the District Chief Executive outlined series of completed projects as well as ongoing interventions, while discussing her achievements since assuming office.
In the area of infrastructure and public facilities, achievements includedd the completion and commissioning of the Anloga Taxi Station, completion of the Chief Executives’ official residence, improvement of access roads within Anloga Market and its surrounding, patching of potholes on the main Keta-Anloga highway from Tegbi to Galo-Sota Junctio, and provision of a grader to support road reshaping works in Aklufodzi and its communities.
Additionally, high-capacity solar-powered streetlights were installed at Fenyiota and Nyakpati to enhance security and visibility at night.
According to her, she also successfully lobbied for the inclusion of the Genui main road under the national “Big Push” infrastructure programme.
She indicated that safety on water bodies for both school children and traders was also enhanced through the provision of safety or life jackets to boat operators along the Anyanui–Torokor, Vume, and Ada Foah routes on the Volta Lake.
Access to potable water was extended to Tsorgbakope, Alakpoe, and Amedelokpoe in the Agbledomi area with support from Global Affairs Canada.
The district also facilitated temporary office space for the National Health Insurance Authority.
In education and human development, the DCE said she facilitated the furnishing and commissioning of Latame Basic School, while also supporting the distribution of learning materials such as mathematical sets and exercise books to schools, including Woe Avedziyo JHS, Dorgbor Basic School, and Anloga Zion Basic School, through collaboration with the Volta River Authority.
Under agriculture and economic empowerment, the Assembly procured 1,000 bags of fertilizer for 22 farmer-based organisations to boost agricultural productivity.
In addition, 30 trainees under the National Apprenticeship Programme were equipped with sewing machines and tools, while 255 young apprentices benefited from start-up kits in collaboration with the Ghana Enterprises Agency to support youth employment and entrepreneurship.
On ongoing Projects, Madam Kpedor said several infrastructural projects are currently underway across the Anloga District and are expected to be completed within six months.
These include the construction of a CHPS compound with a two-unit nurses’ bungalow at Dzita, as well as a two-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Tegbi Afedome.
Other ongoing projects comprise the construction of a CHPS compound with an accompanying nurses’ bungalow at Anloga Agorve, and a three-unit classroom block with offices at Akplorwotorkor.
Additionally, a three-unit classroom block with a two-unit bungalow is being constructed at Sodzi, alongside the provision of a 10-seater WC toilet facility at Anloga Atiehefe to improve sanitation within the community.
Other ongoing projects include the construction of the Kome roads, stretching from Alakple Junction through Alakple, Fiaxor, and Kodzi, as well as the soon-to-commence 24-hour Economy Market.
The DCE expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence reposed in her leadership, stakeholders, and residents of the district for their continued support.

Seyram Sandra Kpedor was confirmed as the new District Chief Executive for the Anloga District on Thursday, April 10, 2025, after securing 29 affirmative votes, 11 against, and one rejected ballot, representing a 71 per cent endorsement from Assembly Members.
