Wadamaxe-North Dayi roads project gains momentum as promises turn reality

Road development in the Wadamaxe area of Anfoega in North Dayi District is steadily taking shape as visible construction works signal progress on long-awaited infrastructure improvements.

The project, championed by Madam Joycelyn Tetteh, Member of Parliament of North Dayi is transforming previously neglected stretches into structured road networks with drainage systems, offering renewed hope to residents.

Local workers from the community have taken charge of construction activities, engaging in the mixing, molding, and laying of concrete drains using both manual tools and heavy-duty equipment.

“This is no longer about promises; it is working in progress that everyone can see,” a resident remarked.

From extended timber formwork to excavators actively reshaping sections of the land, the project reflects a coordinated effort to improve mobility and sanitation in the area.

Mr Joseph Ansre, a resident, said the development marks a significant departure from years of stalled pledges and poor road conditions that affected movement and economic activity.

“This is what true representation looks like—cement on the ground and real structures rising,” he noted.

The ongoing works are expected to address challenges such as erosion, flooding, and accessibility, particularly during the rainy season.

Mr Bright Addai, the Assembly member of the area, said the project represents a direct response to their concerns and a demonstration of accountable leadership.

“We said Wadamaxe deserves better, and today the work is speaking for itself,” Mr Addai stated.

He emphasised that the initiative is part of a broader effort to improve infrastructure across the North Dayi area.

“This is just the beginning; more interventions are expected to follow uplift communities,” he emphasised.

Residents have been encouraged to support ongoing development efforts and remain engaged in community-building initiatives.

“Keep making your voices count because when leadership delivers, communities rise,” another resident added.
