Dr Dickson Tsey, the Principal of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) College of Education, Amedzofe, has expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support towards the development of the institution as he prepares to leave office in October this year.
Dr Tsey made the remarks at the College’s congregation, describing the ceremony as a celebration of achievement, perseverance, sacrifice and hope, while acknowledging the efforts of graduands, parents, guardians, lecturers and staff.
He said the congregation held special significance for him as it would be his final ceremony as Principal of the institution after serving in the position for several years.
“As I stand before you today, I do so with a heart filled with gratitude, humility and deep emotion,” Dr Tsey said.
He sadi that his tenure had been shaped by the collective efforts and goodwill of numerous stakeholders.
He said no leader could build an institution alone, noting that whatever progress the College had made during his administration was the result of the cooperation, sacrifices and commitment of staff, students and other stakeholders.
Dr Tsey expressed appreciation to the Governing Council, Management, Convocation, staff, students, parents, alumni, traditional authorities, the church, development partners, sister institutions and the Government for their support.
He particularly commended members of staff for their commitment, constructive criticism, patience and belief in the vision of the College, saying their dedication had helped the institution overcome difficult moments.
“To our students, both past and present, I want to thank you for giving purpose to our work,” he said, explaining that every lecture delivered, examination conducted and policy formulated was ultimately aimed at preparing students for meaningful service to society,” he said
The Principal reminded stakeholders that the College belonged to generations rather than individuals, saying leaders would come and go, but institutions would endure through the values, traditions and achievements left behind by successive generations.
Dr Tsey said he would leave office with gratitude for the opportunity to serve, cherished memories of people he had encountered and confidence in the future of the EP College of Education, Amedzofe.
“Whatever contribution I have made during my tenure, I offered it with humility to the institution. I have had the privilege to serve and gain experience, and I leave with gratitude in my heart and renewed confidence that EP College of Education, Amedzofe has a bright future,” he said.
